Industry: Food Delivery Platform

This company is still an early-stage business.  They came to us for help to go to institutional investors (PE or VC) for their first significant funding round.  Our immediate priority was to get a data room ready, reach out to investors, get feedback on their strategy and a feel for whether this was an investable business or not.  Investment received. Client received angel investment.

Industry: Defence Technology

This client needed a part-time finance director to help them undertake a significant funding round.  Although their biggest investor is the MOD they wanted to explore other options, particularly grant funding.  We helped them become investor-ready: robust business plan, an idea of a potential valuation and a pitch deck. Funding received.

This client needed help to grow from a start-up.  They had burnt most of their cash, so cashflow had become tight; they needed to secure further investment.  We helped them to get investor-ready (enhanced accounting practices, business planning, forecasting and panning). Secured a cash runway for the next 12 months.

A rapidly expanding electronics manufacturing with a burgeoning Asia operation. Looking for a Part-time FD with manufacturing experience, knowledge of doing business in Asia and first-hand experience in fundraising. We validated the business plan and agreed investment strategy with stakeholders.  We also developed the pitch deck, approached investors and managed the process.  client received an offer from a Top 4 UK PE Firm.

Industry: Health Diagnostics

Engaged us to be the exclusive investor relations, fundraiser, and corporate advisor to the business to approach the investor community, particularly on private equity and venture capital, to maintain relationships, attend meetings and pitch the company to potential investors.

Industry: PropTech

Required a Part-time CFO to prepare the business for fundraising and account for MRR (monthly recurring revenues) correctly.  We developed the business plan and accurate forecasting.  Managed cashflow and secured R&D Tax Credits to extend the cash runway. Successfully secured Series A funding.

Industry: Biotechnology

This client has developed a DNA testing technology that enables the fast-track detection of diseases. During the last 18 months our FD has helped them raise funds through an EIS equity round, and a convertible loan note from the Future Fund.  The investment has allowed the company to continue its R&D program as well as the final development and commercial launch of its first product.

By every measure – the depth of research, technical expertise, adaptability – our FDs’ have led finance functions pre- and post-investment. From conducting robust due diligence and modelling a multi-year plan for prospective investors, to changing the share structure and navigating legal requirements, our client has been able to further invest in the development of the product and bolster business functions and infrastructure.

Industry: Biotechnology

Appointed to support the client’s debut on the New York Stock Exchange. Over $10m was generated to develop clinical trials and techniques for detecting various forms of cancer. We provided leadership in the form of a CFO, supported the uplisting process and prepared annual and quarterly accounts in line with listing regulations.
