Mike is a Chartered Accountant who qualified with Ernst & Young London following his graduation from Imperial College London as a Mechanical Engineer.

Mike’s strengths are as a team and a business builder.  He is expert at implementing scaling strategies for growing businesses whether that be systems and processes or people and management.

As part-time CFO for insightsoftware he helped to scale them from a business employing a handful of people in Ealing, South West London with a turnover of less than $2M to an international corporation, generating $40M revenues with close to 200 employees and customers worldwide. He was instrumental in relocating the primary commercial operations from the UK to the US.

Mike has worked alongside investors, representing their investment in a non-exec director capacity for the last two decades and has directly managed several successful exits.

University spin-outs remain close to Mike’s heart as he continues to support and invest in a number of Imperial College and Cambridge spin-out technology companies.
